Handbells
Handbell
music at First Presbyterian is a longstanding tradition. In fact, First
Presbyterian's handbell program was the first established in the
Mid-Ohio Valley - more than 25 years ago.
Our choirs play one of two sets of handbells -- a full five-octave set
of Whitechapel Handbells, forged by hand in London, and a three-octave
set of Malmark Handbells. We also own a set of hand chimes, perfect for
children to learn on and when you're looking for a different sound. All
of our bell equipment is housed in its very own rehearsal room, complete
with custom-made tables.
Because of our commitment to musical excellence (and because we have
that long history), we also have an extensive music library with
handbell music ranging from early styles to contemporary arrangements.

September through May
5:30p.m.-6:30 p.m. Thursday evenings
The handbell program brings a variety of options to ringers of all
abilities.
The Juliana Ringers serves as an outreach into the community,
occasionally takes summer tours through neighboring states
(including to Ameriflora's international exhibition in Columbus,
Ohio), attends a AGEHR conferences and plays regularly for worship
services throughout the year. Most importantly, though, we have fun.
